AI GOVERNANCE ASSURANCE
Independent testing of what is operating in practice.
For organisations that have adopted AI governance arrangements, Ethos independently tests whether those arrangements are operating in practice. The organisation’s own adopted arrangements provide the criteria for the test, with adequacy considered separately.
Why independent assurance matters
Adoption decisions are being made now. Assurance provides the evidence that those decisions were reasonable and that the organisation can defend them if something goes wrong.
How the assurance works
A structured, independent review of your organisation’s adopted arrangements and the evidence that shows whether they are operating.
1. Understand
Confirm the scope, review period, adopted governance arrangements and the criteria that will be tested.
2. Examine
Examine the evidence to determine whether the organisation’s adopted arrangements are operating in practice.
3. Conclude
Reach a conclusion on operating effectiveness and consider the adequacy of the governance arrangements separately.
4. Report
Provide a clear, board-useful view of what is operating, where the gaps are and what requires attention.
What you receive
Independence and boundaries
Ethos Advisory is independent of technology vendors and does not sell or implement AI systems. The review tests the organisation’s own adopted governance arrangements against evidence.
Ethos will not provide independent assurance over governance arrangements it has substantively designed. Management remains responsible for governance, risk and control decisions.
